The long awaited return of Club racing got off to a great start last night as 17 riders turned up the heat on the popular B10/19 course from Hingham to Carbrooke.
With races being curtailed this season it was the first chance for many to test their legs, and a chance for others to try their hand at time trialling for the first time with several new comers mixing it up with seasoned club members and local riders.
Dan Blackburn of VC Norwich took a commanding win ahead of CCB’s Tom Carroll in times of 21.29 and 22.35 respectively. Local rider Jack Ibbotson of Tri Harder followed in 22.59 with James Walsgrove of Ride Harder narrowly pipping Carl Mace of Tri Harder with times of 23.29 and 23.48 respectively.
A big thank you goes out to Don & Heather Saunders, and Heidi Davis for organising and time keeping, without whom these events wouldn’t be possible.
This weekend sees the highly anticipated CCB 12 hour, with Dave Green, Adam Cross and new club member Helen Webster flying the colours for Breckland. Please come out and support the event and riders if you can.
