Terry Jenning’s tree planting

Harvey and Sue with the memorial to Terry

A good gathering of cyclists and forestry people assembled at Lynford Arboretum to witness the planting of three Japanese birch trees. Terry and his team journeyed to Japan a few year ago to collect seeds from an endangered species of birch tree and bring them to Bedgebury Pinetum. Three seedlings were selected by Terry’s Bedgebury colleagues and brought to Norfolk. These were planted by Sue Jennings, our Don, ably assisted by Maisie and one of Terry’s colleagues. Then Maisie helped Sue unveil the memorial carved by Harvey Hall before we retired to the shed for tea and cakes. A fitting farewell to a lovely chap.
